Muslim Population to Cross 3 Billion by 2060: Washington Based new Research Centre

According to a survey released by the Pew Research Center (PRC), a Washington-based think tank, Islam is the world’s fastest-growing major religion, with Muslim populations anticipated to more than double by 2060.

The Muslim population is anticipated to grow by 70% from 1.8 billion in 2015 to over 3 billion in 2060, according to the research “Global Religious Composition Landscape.” Muslims currently make up 25% of the world’s population.

Christianity is the world’s most popular religion, with 2.4 billion adherents accounting for 31% of the world’s population. Jews make about 0.2 percent of the global population.

After Islam and Christianity, Hinduism is the world’s third largest religion, with 1.2 billion adherents accounting for 15.2 percent of the global population. India, Nepal, and Mauritius are home to the majority of Hindus.
