Fakhar Zaman of the Lahore Qalandars has recently set a new record in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday when he beat Babar Azam’s record of most runs and fifty-plus in a single edition of the tournament.
Fakhar, who is already the PSL’s best run scorer, broke Babar Azam’s record after scoring the 34th run of his 63-run innings against Multan Sultans in the PSL qualifier match.
However, Babar scored 554 runs in 11 innings for Karachi Kings in the previous edition. Whereas, Fakhar has scored 584 runs in 11 innings in this edition.
In addition, Fakhar’s half-century against Multan was his seventh score of fifty or more in the PSL this year, which is also the most in a single edition.
