Govt Decreases Petrol Prices by Rs. 1.60/L, Diesel Increased by Rs. 1.64/L

Pakistan has revised petroleum prices effective October 23, 2026, reducing petrol by Rs. 1.60 per litre while increasing high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs. 1.64 per litre.

Following the adjustment, petrol prices have dropped from Rs. 379.31 to Rs. 377.71 per litre. Meanwhile, diesel prices have increased from Rs. 390.11 to Rs. 391.75 per litre.

The change brings slight relief to petrol users, while the increase in diesel prices could add to transportation and freight costs.

Since diesel is widely used by trucks, buses and agricultural machinery, the adjustment may also affect the cost of goods and daily essentials if higher operating expenses are passed on to consumers.
