Sales of Kia Cars Has Been More Than Honda in Two Consecutive Months

More cars than Honda were reportedly sold by Kia in consecutive months: December 2020 and January 2021.

It can be said that as Pakistan’s auto market has historically been dominated by Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki, regarded as the Japanese ‘big three’, the Korean auto giant is seeking to shift the status quo.

“For two consecutive months, we have sold more cars than Honda. In December and January, our estimates were higher,” said Muhammad Faisal, COO of Kia Lucky Motors.

Suzuki, which primarily caters to the hatchback industry, sold the largest number of vehicles, led by Toyota.

As per data shared by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association, Honda sold 1,764 vehicles, including the Civic, Area, and BR-V, in December 2020 and 1,916 in January 2021. This means that KIA’s Sportage and hatchback Picanto crossover SUV numbers are more than that.
