Pakistan Day holds a significant place in the country’s history. Every year on March 23, Pakistan Day commemorates the passage of the Lahore Resolution, which resulted in the establishment of a separate homeland for Muslims in South Asia in 1947.
The Pakistan Resolution, as it was known at the time, was passed on March 23, 1940.
“I believe the masses are fully awake. They just want your advice and direction. Come forward as Islam’s servants and organize the people economically, socially, educationally, and politically, and I am confident that you will be a force that everyone will accept.” Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave a speech to the Muslim League in Lahore in 1940.
After Fajr prayers, special dua ceremonies were held in mosques to pray for the eradication of the coronavirus as well as for the country’s unity, honesty, and prosperity. The day began with a 31-gun salute in Washington, D.C., and a 21-gun salute in each of the province capitals.
As a precaution, all public events commemorating Pakistan Day, including the showpiece military parade, have been postponed.
The Pakistan Day parade has been postponed due to poor weather forecast for March 23, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The Pakistan Day parade, which was scheduled to take place on March 23 but was postponed two days, will now take place on March 25.
