The renewal process in UAE is now in a more simplified form and the Passport can be renewed in 24 hours.
In the airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, passport renewal services are now available around-the-clock.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs says as much.
UAE passports have a five-year maximum expiration date.
Thus, all you have to do to get a new Emirati passport at the airport is get in touch with the UAE embassy or consulate if you’ve misplaced, damaged, or lost your Emirati passport.
This is because there are five distinct ways to apply for, renew, or get an Emirati passport if it has been lost or destroyed.
Five Ways:
- The Citizenship Division of the General Departments of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
- The site for nationality and residence (eChannels).
- the online passport application process for people.
- Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security Federal Authority (ICP).
- Airports in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.
Three papers are required when requesting a new one.
Following are those requirements:
- a copy of or a family book.
- a copy of the ID or the original.
- a recent image of the author.
