Pakistan’s date industry continued to find buyers abroad during the fiscal year 2025-26, with exports reaching 138.74 million kilograms across 45 international markets. The overseas sales generated $56.57 million in revenue, highlighting continued demand for Pakistani dates in different parts of the world.
Dried dates remained the stronger contributor to export earnings. The country earned $40.10 million from dried dates, while fresh dates generated another $16.47 million. The figures show that both forms of the fruit maintained a presence in international trade, with dried dates making up the larger share of total export revenue.
The United Arab Emirates emerged as the main destination for Pakistani dates during the year. Its purchases were valued at $37.87 million, representing almost 67% of Pakistan’s total earnings from date exports. The strong share makes the UAE an important market for the country’s date producers, traders and exporters.
Germany ranked second among the major buyers, purchasing Pakistani dates worth $4.30 million. The United Kingdom also remained an important destination, with imports valued at around $3 million.
The export figures reflect the wide international reach of Pakistan’s date sector, which supplied products to dozens of markets during the year. The industry’s performance also points to the importance of overseas demand for agricultural products and processed food items from Pakistan.
With exports covering both fresh and dried dates, Pakistani suppliers continued to serve consumers beyond traditional regional markets. The presence of buyers in 45 countries provides the sector with opportunities to strengthen its international trade and expand its customer base in the future.
