Oil marketing companies once again demanded the government to increase the prices of petroleum products.
According to the document, the price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs 8.96, while the price of light diesel is being increased by Rs 7.78. Current taxes and currency depreciation lead to an increase in rates.
In a working paper sent to the government, the Organization of Oil Marketing Companies (OCAC) proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs 14 per liter and diesel by 30 paise per liter.
According to OCAC spokesman, the ex-refinery price of petrol should be increased from Rs 207 to Rs 221 per liter, the price of petrol is increasing from Rs 272 to Rs 286.77 per liter, diesel price should also be increased from Rs 293 to Rs 293.30.
