KARACHI: Sunday, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who also heads the transportation ministry, announced new routes for the Peoples Bus Service program’s electric bus service in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference here, Sindh Information, Transport and Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Inam announced more environment-friendly EV buses have arrived in Karachi, adding that the PPP-led Sindh government is all set to launch two new routes of electric bus service in Karachi from next week.
The bus will transport passengers from Al-Asif market to Tank Chowk (Malir) under the second EV bus route. He said that another EV transport administration course from Bahria Town to Numaish Chowrangi Via Tank Chowk would be sent off on April 13.
However, in January of this year, the government introduced the first electric bus route. Between Karachi Airport and Seaview, buses on route 1 travel.
