World Tourism and Travel Council (WTTC) has recently anticipated that tourism industry of Pakistan has the potential to even grow up to US $39.8 billion just within a decade.
However, as per the officials, the present government of the country has already committed in election campaign that it will promote Pakistan as the “Asia’s Best Kept Secret” in the market of global tourism.
Moreover, it is also predicted by the government that by 2025, tourism would contribute about Rs.1 trillion to the economy of Pakistan. The countries like Thailand, Switzerland, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Maldives has already proved that sustainable tourism can help the country for its development.
