According to Ben Goertzel, a US-Brazilian tech executive, artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to replace approximately 80% of human jobs within the next few years.
However, Goertzel views this development in a positive light, as he believes it will provide individuals with the opportunity to engage in more fulfilling activities instead of working solely for a living. Speaking at the Web Summit in Rio de Janeiro, he stated that nearly all jobs involving paperwork have the potential to be automated.
These remarks follow an open letter signed by numerous tech leaders, including Elon Musk and the late Stephen Hawking, which called for a six-month pause on AI development. The signatories expressed concerns that the rapid advancement of AI technology poses significant risks to society and humanity.
