Proton Pakistan took to social media to share a celebratory picture, congratulating themselves on selling 1000 units in Lahore. Even if it’s just the X70 SUV or the Saga sedans, it’s a significant achievement for Proton.
Once the X70 arrives on Pakistani highways, the SUV will experience a sudden surge in popularity, as per reports.
According to reports from paultan.org, a reputable Malaysian automotive news website, Proton is struggling to keep up with demand for the SUV in Pakistan, adding that the waiting list for booking the SUV is 6 to 9 months long since all of the SUV’s CBU units have been snapped up.
Proton’s 1000-unit milestone arrived a little later than anticipated, owing to challenges in the X70 SUV’s demand and supply. However, now that local assembly of the vehicles is expected to begin soon, and with the popularity of the Saga on the rise, as well as a general increase in the demand for cars in Pakistan, Proton’s sales can only go up from here.
