Lt-General Asim Saleem Bajwa (retd), Chairman of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority, said on Saturday that clusters of technology institutes will be developed around the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) being built under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to Bajwa, the institutes will provide training to the youth “preparing youth for jobs in CPEC projects is our top priority under (the) comprehensive plan.”
“Gwadar Technical Institute, which will cater to new industry in the free zone, is rapidly developing,” he added.
According to a CPEC Authority official, the mega project will gain traction this year and in the coming years, strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and China.
Their strategic partnership, which was strengthening with each passing day, was critical on both regional and international levels, as per the official.
He stated that four main sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, socioeconomic growth, and Gwadar New City, would advance quickly in the next process.
