In Karachi and Lahore, the price of tomatoes has suddenly increased sharply. The cost of a kilo of tomatoes has jumped to Rs. 160 in Shahr-e-Quaid.
It should be recalled that tomatoes were sold in Karachi two days ago for Rs 60 per kg.
The price of tomatoes in Lahore increased by 40 rupees, bringing the price to Rs 120 per kg. Tomatoes were being sold in Lahore two days ago for Rs 80 per kg.
The merchant claims that instead of 10, just 3 tomato trucks are coming from Quetta as a result of the rains, which is causing a growing tomato shortage.
According to market news reports, Lahore’s prices for other vegetables and fruits are also increasing.
