The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has established a dress code for women who are performing the Umrah pilgrimage and has defined three guidelines related to this matter.
According to the three guidelines that have been established by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah about the suitable clothes for women to wear during Umrah, ladies should select clothing that does not contain any ornamental elements for Umrah.
For Umrah, the Ministry of Hajj recommends that women wear loose attire that covers their entire bodies and does not expose any portion of their anatomy.
Women performing Umrah are permitted to enter Masjid al-Haram dressed in any garment so long as it complies with the aforementioned three requirements, according to the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information.
It is important to remember that in order to perform Umrah, male pilgrims are required to wear Ihram, which consists of two sheets that do not have any stitching. On the other hand, a woman’s clothing that has been stitched is considered to be ihram.
