A “metal park” to be establish in Balochistan for the use of mineral resources

The Balochistan Mineral Exploration Company and the Balochistan Mineral Resources Company Limited have had a high-level meeting headed by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan to assess their business.

He also added that mineral deposited countries have developed by improving policies and adopting modern technologies.

The Chief Minister granted instructions for Innovating the BMEC and BMRL terms and conditions to incorporate provisions that allow such undertakings to participate independently in mineral exploration and development projects.

The CEO has also requested that the mining industry specialist be included into the company’s board of directors.

In this respect an agreement has been struck between the provincial and federal administrations Over the first two years, the corporation will receive Rs 3.2 billion. For the current financial year, the Government of Balochistan has awarded Rs. 1.44 Crores.

He mentioned mine mapping of resources for Rs. 100 million and the construction of capacity for the officials in the department for Rs. 300 million, referring to the ongoing and the future projects of the department.

The installation of digital weighing machines in various locations will cost Rs. 70 million, while the computerization of the royalty collection system will cost Rs. 150 million.

Establishment of a mineral complex for Rs. 500 million, of a Dukki mining resource for Rs. 10 million and of a federal Govt metal park for Rs. 300 million in development programmes. He also informed us about projects involving benefit plants in several places for the added value of raw minerals.
