Aamer Jamal in Elite Company After Six-Wicket Haul in Sydney Test Against Australia

The upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled from June 4 to 30, has revealed its preliminary schedule, and it features a noteworthy clash in the group stage between traditional rivals Pakistan and India. This cricket tournament is set to take place in the United States and the West Indies, bringing together a total of 20 teams initially divided into four groups.

The disclosed schedule places Pakistan and India in the same group alongside Ireland, Canada, and the host nation, the United States. What makes this particularly interesting is that a considerable number of first-round matches, including those involving Pakistan’s group, will be played in the United States.

Pakistan’s campaign kicks off against the USA on June 6, followed by the much-anticipated showdown against India in New York on June 9. Subsequent matches include facing Canada on June 11 in New York and clashing with Ireland in Florida on June 16.

Following the first round, the top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Eight round, where they will be further divided into two groups.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reportedly shared the schedule with cricket boards and broadcasters for feedback and approval, with the final schedule set to be released soon. This development marks an exciting chapter for cricket fans as the sport expands its reach to new locations, notably the United States.
