The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi has released its service schedule for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, which will run from Monday, April 8, to Sunday, April 14. During this festive period, surface parking and toll gates will be available free of charge, providing convenience to residents and visitors alike.
Parking and Toll Gate Services
During the Eid Al Fitr holiday, surface parking fees will be waived from Monday, April 8, until 7:59 am on Monday, April 15. This includes the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot, ensuring hassle-free parking for all. However, the ITC emphasizes the importance of parking responsibly in designated areas to avoid traffic congestion and ensure smooth movement on the roads.
Additionally, the Darb toll gate system will be inactive throughout the Eid holiday, starting from Monday, April 8. Normal toll gate operations will resume on Monday, April 15, during peak hours.
Customer Service Centers
While the Customers Happiness Centres across Abu Dhabi will remain closed during the holiday, customers can continue to access ITC’s services online through their official website, Darb websites and apps, and the Tamm platform for digital government services. Furthermore, support services are available 24/7 via the unified Service Support Centre of DMT and the Taxi Call Centre.
Public Bus Services
Public bus services, including both local and regional routes, will operate according to the regular weekend schedule during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. Additionally, the ITC has coordinated with relevant entities to increase the number of inter-city bus trips to accommodate the expected rise in demand during the holiday period.
Moreover, special bus services such as the Abu Dhabi Express and the ‘Abu Dhabi Link’ will run from 6 am to 11 pm throughout the holiday, providing extended transportation options for commuters.
Automated Rapid Transit (ART) Service
The Automated Rapid Transit (ART) service will maintain its regular schedule from Wednesday to Sunday, operating with a frequency of 60 minutes. This ensures that commuters have access to efficient and reliable transportation services during the holiday period.
Overall, the ITC’s initiatives aim to enhance mobility and accessibility for residents and visitors during the festive Eid Al Fitr holiday, contributing to a seamless travel experience across Abu Dhabi.
