Afghan Helicopter Crash Kills Two Pilots

Two pilots were killed when a helicopter crashed in Afghanistan.

The Afghan Defense Ministry confirmed that an Afghan Air Force military helicopter crashed in the northern province of Samangan, killing two pilots.

The Ministry of Defense said on Twitter that the AIR Force’s MD-530 model helicopter was on a patrol mission when it collided with a power transmission line in Khalam district of Samangan province at 9 am local time and crashed, resulting in the death of two pilots.

In addition to launching an investigation into the crash, the Ministry of Defense offered condolences to the bereaved families, Xinhua news agency reported.
