After Six Years of Delays, KP Says Bakhsali Road’s Remaining Work Took 10 Days

The new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has finished the remaining work on Mardan’s Bakhsali Road within 10 days, according to government sources, bringing a project delayed for six years to completion.

Remaining work completed after years of delay

The road project had remained unfinished under the previous provincial administration. Government sources said the new administration completed the outstanding work in 10 days; that timeframe refers to the remaining work, rather than construction of the entire road.

Those sources presented the completion as an example of prioritising practical action over political slogans. They said addressing public problems required a focus on delivering development projects on time.

Residents welcome completion

The completed road is expected to make travel easier for residents and other commuters in the area. Local people have reportedly welcomed the end of the prolonged delay.

The project is being presented as part of the new provincial government’s emphasis on improving public facilities and finishing infrastructure work that has been pending for years.
