Ankara’s Tallest Tower Lights up in Green and White as Turkey Celebrates Pakistan Day

On Tuesday, Turkey celebrated Pakistan’s National Day with a grand ceremony at the Pakistani mission in Ankara.

Ambassador Syrus Qazi said that the 23rd of March was a watershed moment in the heroic struggle of South Asian Muslims, when our forefathers made the historic decision to create a separate homeland.

In the presence of Embassy officials and the media, Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkey, Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi raised the Pakistan flag while the National Anthem played in the background.

While speaking to the audience, the Ambassador thanked Turkey and its citizens for standing by Pakistan, especially on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

He also thanked Turkey for sending the Turkish band “Mehter” (Ottoman Janissary Band) and the aerial aerobatic team “SoloTurk” to Islamabad to take part in Pakistan Day celebrations on March 25.

Both Turkish teams have previously captured the hearts of all Pakistanis with their outstanding performances.
