Farmers will benefit greatly from UAE government concessions on water and electricity bills.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has directed the Ministry of Community Development to provide water and electricity concessions to farmers facing financial difficulties.
The Ministry of Community Development and Union Water and Power have announced a farmer subsidy program beginning in July 2023. This program will significantly reduce low-income farmers’ monthly electricity and water bills.
The UAE announced last month a comprehensive strategy to improve the agriculture sector in order to boost the country’s economy.
