Another Electric Shock for People as Power Tariff Increased by Rs4.34 Per Unit

Recently, another electricity shock to the masses as federal government decided to increase the power rates by Rs4.34 per unit.

A notification has been issued by NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) stating about the increase in electricity prices on the people, as per sources.

According to NEPRA, the increase will have an additional Rs59 billion on electricity consumers.

The increase was made with respective of July’s fuel adjustment and the additional recovery would be done in September bills, according to notification.

However, the new rates wouldn’t be applicable to the consumers of K-Electric and Lifeline.
