A newly constructed main road in Lahore’s Johar Town has developed a sinkhole after a heavy trailer passed through the area, causing part of the road to give way.
The incident has raised concerns among residents about the durability and construction standards of the road.
Locals say the same route had previously developed collapses at multiple points, creating safety risks for motorists and pedestrians.
Citizens are calling for a detailed investigation into the road’s construction and monitoring process, along with appropriate action if any negligence or violations are found.
The LDA spokesperson said an inquiry will be conducted and action will be taken in accordance with the law.
