Apple May Open Office in Pakistan After Google’s Setup

Apple may consider establishing a physical presence in Pakistan as international technology companies show increasing interest in the country’s growing digital economy.

US Consul General Lahore Stetson Sanders expressed optimism about the possibility, pointing to the recent move by Google to establish a local presence in Pakistan. He suggested that other major global technology companies, including Apple, could also explore opportunities in the Pakistani market.

There has been no official announcement from Apple confirming plans to open an office in the country. Any potential move would therefore depend on future decisions by the company.

The possibility comes at a time when Pakistan’s technology sector is attracting greater attention from international businesses. The country has a large and increasingly digital population, creating opportunities across areas such as technology services, software, e-commerce and digital products.

A physical office by Apple could potentially strengthen its engagement with the local market and create opportunities for closer interaction with businesses, developers and technology professionals.

The presence of major international technology companies could also contribute to Pakistan’s wider digital ecosystem by supporting investment, skills development and partnerships with local businesses.

Google’s decision to establish a local presence has already been viewed as a sign of growing international interest in Pakistan’s technology market. The possibility of Apple following a similar path could further increase attention toward the country.

For now, however, Apple’s plans remain unconfirmed. The comments from the US Consul General indicate potential interest rather than a formal commitment from the technology company.

If Apple eventually establishes an office in Pakistan, it could mark another significant step in the country’s efforts to attract global technology companies and strengthen its position in the international digital economy.
