In his message for Defence Day, General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), highlighted the strong connection between the Pakistani army and its people, describing it as a valuable asset. General Munir also praised the exceptional professionalism of the army during the 1965 war and emphasized how dedicated the soldiers were to defending their country.
He talked about the importance of having a strong economy as a crucial element for a robust defense. He stressed that mutual cooperation could lead Pakistan towards economic progress.
General Munir paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the army’s martyrs, considering them a source of inspiration for the nation. Lastly, he applauded the significant efforts of Pakistan’s army in combating terrorism within the country.
