Cricket Australia’s chief executive officer, Nick Hockley, has stated that the country is open to hosting a tri-series against Pakistan and India. According to him, the country has a sizable Indian and Pakistani population.
In an interview with reporters in Rawalpindi, Hockley stated, “Personally, I really enjoy the tri-series concept.” In the past, it worked well. We’d be delighted to host… matches. In Australia, there are sizable Indian and Pakistani communities. It’s a competition that everyone wants to see in international cricket, and if we can help provide additional possibilities, we would be delighted.”
Pakistan and India last played a bilateral ODI and T20 series in 2012-13, as well as a test series in 2007.
The two archrivals have only met in ICC events such as the ICC Champions Trophy, the ICC World Cup, and the T20 World Cup.
