Babar Azam Loses Top Batsman Position in T20I Ranking, Slips to 3rd Spot

After a poor batting performance in the two T20Is matches against the West Indies, Pakistan’s opening batsman, Babar Azam has recently moved to third position in the ICC T20I batter rankings.

Babar scored 7 runs in two T20Is against the West Indies, getting out for a duck in the first and being run-out on 7 in the second.

Babar has been out of forms recently, failing to impress in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh that just ended. Babar’s form has slipped after some outstanding performances in the T20I 2021 World Cup, where he finished as the tournament’s highest run-scorer.

However, Dawid Malan of England has regained the top position, while Aiden Markram of South Africa has overtaken Babar and is now ranked second in the world.
