Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan Set New Record as Most Successful T20 Pair with 24 Fifty Partnerships

Pakistan’s batting duo, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, have achieved a historic milestone in T20 cricket by becoming the most successful pair. They have now accumulated 24 partnerships where they scored fifty or more runs together, surpassing the previous record of 23 held by Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli.

Their partnership extends beyond just fifties, with 10 century stands for Pakistan. Across 65 innings, Babar and Rizwan have amassed a total of 3,227 runs, surpassing the 3,175 runs scored by Kohli and AB de Villiers.

This achievement places them at the forefront internationally, outshining Ireland’s Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling, who managed 2,047 runs in 73 innings.

In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), both players represented the Karachi Kings, further solidifying their formidable partnership. Comparatively, India’s Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul hold the third position with 1,897 runs in 42 innings, highlighting the dominance of Babar and Rizwan in the T20 format.
