Babar Azam Retains Top Spot in the ICC’s ODI Batting Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed its ODI batting rankings on Wednesday, and Pakistan captain Babar Azam kept his commanding lead.


A number of South African players have surpassed the productive right-hander in the rankings.

Temba Bavuma moves up 17 spots to 33rd after his massive knock in the second game in East London, while Heinrich Klaasen moves up 13 spaces to 30th following his spectacular century in the Proteas’ emphatic triumph over the West Indies in the third and final game of the series in Potchefstroom.

Rassie van der Dussen of South Africa kept second place, while Imamul Haq of Pakistan moved up one spot to take third. Shubman Gill is in fifth place, while Quinton de Kock is placed fourth.
