Babar Azam Returns to Lahore After World Cup Campaign

The Pakistan cricket team’s journey in the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 ended with a defeat against England. After a disappointing campaign, captain Babar Azam returned to Lahore on a private flight from Dubai, accompanied by PCB staff.

At the airport, people chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” as Babar arrived. The team, having finished their World Cup journey, returned to Pakistan in different groups. Some players like Agha Salman, Imam-ul-Haq, and Shaheen Shah Afridi had already reached Lahore from Kolkata via Dubai. Other players went directly to their hometowns.

Following a below-par performance in the Indian tournament, the squad left in two groups. The first batch departed from Kolkata at 8:55 am on Sunday via Emirates flight EK571, and the remaining members left at 08:20 pm on the same day via Emirates flight EK573. After landing in Dubai, players and staff were set to go to their respective cities.
