Babar Azam Set to Perform Hajj This Year

According to a report, Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, is planning to go on Hajj, a religious pilgrimage, in the second week of June. He will be accompanied by his mother. The report also mentions that several other cricketers, including Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan, Faheem Ashraf, and Fakhar Zaman, will join them in performing the pilgrimage.

In March, the Minister for Religious Affairs, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, stated that a total of 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims would be participating in Hajj this year.

Earlier this year, Babar, Iftikhar, Faheem, Haris Rauf, and other national cricketers went on Umrah, another religious pilgrimage, during the holy month of Ramadan. Currently, Babar and Rizwan are in the United States of America (USA) and are preparing for a special educational opportunity at Harvard Business School.

They will be the first cricketers to enroll in the institution’s executive education program, which focuses on The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS).

Their classes at the Harvard Business School campus in Boston, Massachusetts, are scheduled from May 31 to June 3.
