Bangladesh Cricket Board Rejects New Hybrid Model Proposal of Asia Cup 2023

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) rejects PCB’s hybrid model of having the matches in Dubai, over weather concerns. Previously, Pakistan Cricket Board stated that both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have supported their proposition of hybrid mode, however, BCB has now officially released the statement that owing to extreme heatwave in UAE, players have some concerns.

BCB has good ties with Pakistan Cricket Board and has no objection to the hybrid mode itself. Moreover, they are open to having matches in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan has to take the final decision about Asia Cup with Asia Cricket Council, which is expected the be discussed in a meeting to be held soon. In recent statements, Najam Sethi expressed that Pakistan will opt out of Asia Cup, if the hybrid mode gets rejected.

The Pakistani cricket fans are now waiting for the official news from the authorities.
