As his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a thrilling match, Kohli was observed getting into heated arguments with both Naveen-ul-Haq and LSG coach Gautam Gambhir.
Videos shared on social media demonstrate the altercation, which involved Virat and Naveen, an Afghan player, in the 17th over. Amit Mishra, a non-striking batter, and an umpire were able to calm the situation down.
The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. According to an official statement from the board, Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Gautam Gambhir was fined 100% of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct.
According to the statement, bowler Naveenul Haq received a fine equal to 50% of his match fees for violating the IPL Code of Conduct, while Kohli was also fined 100% of his match fee for breaking the rules.
