BCCI to Host Mega Ceremony Ahead of Pakistan vs India Clash

The ICC World Cup 2023 started without an opening ceremony, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning a music extravaganza before the highly anticipated Pakistan vs. India match on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to reports, a musical ceremony is scheduled before the match, featuring notable Bollywood celebrities at the world’s largest cricket ground, the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Golden ticket-holders will have the privilege of attending this grand event. Premium passes were given to cricket legends like Sachin Tendulkar and renowned figures like Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan. Arijit Singh will perform during the ceremony.

The India vs. Pakistan game is expected to draw many VIPs, and the Bollywood stars’ event will start at 12:40 pm (IST) on match day, ending by 1:10 pm. Children will accompany the teams onto the field as mascots.

Around 20-25 Pakistani journalists will be present at the match, and the necessary arrangements and approvals have been made for their participation.

Additionally, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Zaka Ashraf is expected to travel to India in the coming days, having already been granted an Indian visa for the match.

Despite Pakistan’s challenging record against India in ICC World Cup matches, they are determined to change that narrative after recent victories in the tournament. Babar Azam and his team are focused on ending their losing streak against their arch-rivals in this prestigious event.
