Beta testing started by Google Stadia and GeForce on iOS devices

Google Stadia and Nvidia’s GeForce Now has cloud gaming services that have announced to begin the offering of the web apps for iOS devices as they have begun the beta testing on the platform. The cloud gaming started to the mainstream over the last 12 months, but the Apple devices have far been left out of this loop.

It has now been changed as the two biggest names have appeared in the market have begun rolling out web apps for the iOS devices.

GeForce Now is also available on the iPhone as well as iPad as a web app, that users can start using it just by going to the play geforcenow.com. The service of cloud gaming works by connecting to the Epic Games, users’ existing Steam, and/or Ubisoft Connect accounts and also by allowing them to play already purchased games on the high-end hardware over a very fast internet connection.

However, it requires the game publishers also to participate in the GeForce Now service that means many games do not appear on the platform. The service is available on the macOS also.

Google Stadia will also be available on Apple devices as a web app, just about 12 months after it originally launched on Android and Windows. Google Stadia works on a different model to GeForce Now, where the service can be treated more like a traditional gaming console.

Users have to purchase the games specifically for their Stadia platform like they would just have to do for the Xbox or even for the PlayStation. According to the Stadia, iOS testing should begin soon, like in the upcoming weeks.

The company says that “This will be our first phase of the iOS progressive web application. Because we will test the performance and add more required features, in this, your feedback will also help us improve the experience of Stadia for everyone. You can also expect the feature like this to begin rolling out as several weeks from now.” So be ready!
