The Pakistan Cricket Board stated on Wednesday that Bismah Maroof has resigned as the captain of the Pakistan women’s national team but will continue to be eligible for selection as a player.
Since being chosen Pakistan’s all-format captain in September 2017, Bismah has led the nation in One-Day Internationals (1.000) and T20 Internationals with the best win/loss record of any regular player (0.843).
The PCB said in a statement issued today that when she served as captain, Pakistan’s ODI squad played 34 matches and won 16, while the T20I team won 27 out of 62 games.
Leading the Pakistani team has been my greatest honor, Bismah wrote on Twitter.
