Bookme.pk Successful Efforts with PFF in Hosting Pakistan’s First International Football Match in 8 Years

Men in green representing Pakistan in International football made history. Many records were broken when Pakistan had a chance to host an international football match after 8 years. Thanks to collaborative efforts from Pakistan Football Federation and Bookme, everything went down smoothly even with all the challenges in the way.

There is no hiding that Pakistan is a cricket crazy nation. The whole country gets glued to their TV screens when Pakistan Cricket Team is playing opposition in any ICC tournament. But the tremendous turnover at Jinnah Stadium for a football match even after the eleventh hour match announcement and a losing streak of 13 matches, Pakistan showed up on a working day to support the boys in green.

After pulling off multiple PSL (Pakistan Super League) editions and international cricket series, team Bookme used that experience for this event. From an effective marketing campaign to promote this event to superb on-ground operations on match day, everything was handled smoothly. The attendance of 13,000+ spectators at the stadium on a working day and at a time that conflicts with schools shows how well things went.

On this occasion, Bookme founder and CEO Faizan Aslam said “It fills me with immense joy that Bookme.pk has solidified its place in history by playing a key role for the revival of international football in Pakistan. More international football matches are now coming to Pakistan after a very long time. Kudos to all my teammates who made this possible and I’m looking forward to a full stadium for the next match happening in November.”

PFF and Bookme were on a mission to successfully host an International Football match in Pakistan. The success of the first match and Harun Hamid’s heroics leading Pakistan to victory are collectively bringing more International matches to Pakistan. Now, Pakistan will be hosting 3 more international matches against Tajikistan, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia in upcoming months.
