The Farash Town Apartments project, started under the vision of the former prime minister Imran Khan for low and middle income groups, has been given a new name by the Capital Development Authority. These apartments will now be sold to wealthy Pakistanis living abroad in order to generate foreign remittances.
The Naya Pakistan Development Housing Authority (NPDHA) and city managers launched the aforementioned project, which consists of about 4000 apartments, in April 2021 with the goal of offering low- and middle-income Pakistanis access to affordable housing.
In addition to this, 400 flats were designated for the “Kachi Abadis” people. It was intended to provide its members with 2000 dwellings through NPDHA.
