The electric buses will run from Islamabad Zoo to Monal, as well as on the capital’s mass transportation metro bus routes.
The new CDA service would transport a large number of people between Soan Garden and Faisal Mosque, Bhara Kahu and the Faiz Ahmed Faiz metro bus station, and Tarnol Railway Station and the M5 metro station.
Malik Amin Aslam, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Climate Change, revealed on Wednesday that under the green stimulus project, electric buses will be inaugurated from Islamabad Zoo to Monal.
Electric buses would also be launched on the mass transit metro bus routes of Lahore and Islamabad, he said in a meeting of the National Assembly committee.
He stated that the new programme would assist citizens in obtaining safe, inexpensive, and emission-free transportation.
In a meeting, he also stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan has instructed the preparation of master plans for 80 cities, and that no housing society will be permitted to use agricultural land until the master plan is completed.
