Chairman PAC Exposes Jaw-Dropping Salary of Govt Lift Operator in Pakistan

In a recent interview, Noor Alam Khan shed light on the significant disparity in salaries across different professions in Pakistan. According to Khan, the lift operator in his office earn the lowest salary, that is 90,000 PKR per month. This figure is significantly lower compared to other professions, particularly those in the higher posts of government and the judiciary.

Khan explained that the starting salary for lift operators ranges between 25,000 to 30,000 PKR, but as time passes and experience is gained, their salaries gradually increase. However, even with the passage of time, the salary of a lift operator remains relatively low in comparison to other occupations.

Contrasting the salary of lift operators, Khan revealed that officers in various government departments enjoy significantly higher earnings, with salaries ranging from 5 to 6 lakh per month. This disparity highlights the contrasting financial circumstances within the public sector, where certain positions are remunerated much more generously than others.

Notably, the highest salary in the country is attributed to the judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Their income surpasses that of any other profession, reflecting the importance placed on the judiciary in the country. The salary of Supreme Court judges exceeds 9 lakh per month, making it the highest-paying position in the nation.

Even beyond the judiciary, the President of Pakistan is another notable figure who enjoys a substantial salary. With a monthly income of 900,000 PKR, the President’s earnings rank second after the Supreme Court judges.

This revelation by Noor Alam Khan sheds light on the existing salary gaps across different professions in Pakistan. While some professions receive significant financial compensation, the salary of lift operators remains considerably low, despite the valuable services they provide.
