Punjab Police Riot Force entered the chamber of the Punjab Assembly and arrested three lawmakers from the House of Representatives after a dispute with members of the Treasury.
According to media reports, the prison police van has also arrived in front of the assembly building to transfer detained members of the Punjab Provincial Assembly (MPA) to prison.
At the direction of Vice President Dost Mazari, police entered the Punjab assembly chamber.
The governing members of the PTI, including the deputies, attacked the police officers in the chamber and tore up their uniforms.
MPAs also hit the police officers with lotas. Police arrested MPAs, including Umar Tanveer Butt, Wasiq Abbasi and Nadeem Qureshi.
