China has strongly condemned the United States’ blockade of Iranian ports, calling the move “dangerous and irresponsible” at a time of rising regional tensions. The development came after Donald Trump ordered restrictions on ships entering or leaving Iran, following the collapse of peace talks. The decision has sparked concern internationally, with China cautioning that unilateral measures risk escalating conflict rather than resolving it.
Chinese officials also highlighted the potential threat to global trade, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime route for energy shipments.
