Citizen Moves SHC for Ban on 5G over ‘Health Risks’

The Sindh High Court (SHC) gave the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) until Monday to respond to a petition opposing the introduction of 5G technology in Pakistan.

According to sources, the petition was heard by a two-member bench led by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar.

The court issued a notice to the PTA, stating that the case will be heard after the telecommunications regulator files its response to the petition.

Before the court, a resident argued that 5G technology not only poses health risks, but also has an effect on the environment. He said that while 4G technology has health risks, it is less risky than 5G.
