CM Punjab Announces Metro Bus Service for Faisalabad

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of Punjab has made an exciting announcement regarding the expansion of the metro bus service to another city within the province.

Through social media, she revealed plans to bring the metro bus service to Faisalabad, fulfilling a commitment made by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing a concern raised by a citizen regarding the lack of efficient public transportation in Faisalabad, CM Maryam Nawaz assured that she would convene a final meeting with the Transport department today. In this meeting, the approval of a substantial fleet of 700 buses for Punjab will be discussed, with a significant portion of these buses earmarked to tackle the transportation challenges faced by Faisalabad.

The implementation of this metro bus service in Faisalabad will encompass all major routes within the city, indicating a comprehensive approach to improving public transportation.

CM Punjab emphasized that the buses would operate on predefined routes with set schedules, ensuring reliable service for commuters. Additionally, there will be designated bus stops and shelters established across the cities to facilitate convenient access to public transportation.

This initiative is rooted in a longstanding promise made by Nawaz Sharif during his pre-election campaign to introduce the Orange Line Metro Train in Faisalabad. Under the leadership of CM Maryam Nawaz, this commitment is now on track to be fulfilled, albeit in the form of a metro bus service.
