Consumer Wins Case Against Solar Company In Faisalabad

A consumer court in Faisalabad has delivered a significant verdict in favor of a citizen in a case concerning a faulty solar inverter, according to media reports. The judgment was issued by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Rashid, who presided over the matter under relevant consumer protection laws.

In its ruling, the court ordered the company responsible for supplying the defective equipment to compensate the complainant with Rs. 575,000. In addition to this amount, the company was also directed to pay Rs. 50,000 to cover legal expenses incurred during the case. The decision came after the court reviewed evidence indicating that the product failed to meet the promised standards and caused inconvenience and financial loss to the consumer.

The verdict is being viewed as a noteworthy step toward reinforcing consumer rights in the country. It sends a clear message to manufacturers and suppliers that the sale of substandard or defective products will not be tolerated. Legal experts believe such decisions can help build public confidence in consumer courts while encouraging businesses to maintain quality standards and accountability in their products and services.
