Cricketer Muhammad Abbas Wins Player of the Series Award

Pakistan’s veteran fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has been named Pakistan’s Player of the Series after his strong performance in the three-Test series against England. England won the series 3-0, but Abbas remained one of Pakistan’s most effective players throughout the tour.

Abbas finished the series with 11 wickets from three matches. He bowled 90 overs and conceded 303 runs, with an average of 27.55. His best bowling performance came in the second Test at Lord’s, where he took 5 wickets for 57 runs in England’s second innings. He also claimed four wickets in the first innings of that match.

Abbas also made an important contribution in the third Test at Edgbaston. He scored 42 runs while sharing a 121-run ninth-wicket partnership with debutant Razaullah. He then took two early wickets in England’s final chase.
