Hamza Ali Abbasi, a popular name of Pakistan Entertainment Industry started his career as a CSS Officer and later decided to become an actor. Born in Multan and gaining his education from US Air Force Academy, the Pakistani star got appointed in Police Services Pakistan.
Despite securing one of the most prestigious departments of Pakistan, Hamza Ali Abbasi was not contended with his career such that he put everything on line by withdrawing from his ownership of CSS Officer and become a full-time actor.
Withstanding all the challenges and social norms, the actor’s first drama serial ‘Pyarey Afzal’ became a massive hit. With his huge fan following, Hamza Ali Abbasi got featured in ‘Mann Mayal’, ‘Meray Dost Meray Yaar’, and ‘Alif Allah aur Insaan’. He also appeared in the movies, ‘Parvaz ha Junoon’, ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Aani’, ‘Waar’, ‘Maula Jatt’ and others.
Hamza Ali Abbasi is known for being highly vocal about his beliefs and views, for which he received criticism as well. He has won many awards for ‘Best Actor’. However, he decided to take a break from the entertainment industry and cannot be seen in dramas or films yet. Hamza Ali Abbasi is now more focused towards social work and politics and has been involved with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He also initiated Hamza Ali Abbasi Foundation which is working for provision of education to all the underprivileged areas of Pakistan.
