Daraz.pk Charging Rs. 30 Extra on ‘Cash On Delivery’ & Online Shoppers are Not Loving it

In Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, Daraz is the most popular internet marketplace. In a market with a total population of roughly 500 million, it is a forerunner in online retail.

The business links consumers and sellers in a broad range of industries, including consumer electronics, fashion, and general products, as well as books.

The money Daraz is paid to transport goods to a customer is known as shipping costs. Daraz already charges the consumer a specified amount as the shipping price for each purchase that is delivered.

Now, Daraz charges Rs. 30 more for “Cash On Delivery.”

The decision has not been warmly received by online shoppers, who have voiced their discontent with it on social media platforms.

Numerous customers expressed their displeasure over the fact that they were not informed of the added cost before making their purchases and feel it is unfair to penalize them for selecting a payment method that is convenient for them.

Customers may decide to buy goods from other online retailers that do not charge such fees, which may discourage them from using Daraz.
