Death toll in Balochistan Due to Flood Rises to 8

Eight people have been killed in lightning strikes in Mastung, including thunderstorms, rain and floods in most districts of Balochistan.

According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, heavy rains occurred in different areas including Quetta, Harnai, Pishin, Noshki, Dakki, Barkhan, Awaran, Khuzdar, Sorab.

Due to the rains, low-lying areas were inundated, rivers and streams were flooded, the Punjab-Balochistan National Highway was closed due to flood water at Tor Khan in Harnai.

Due to the rains, the water level in local drains, rivers and dams started rising, but the situation is normal.

In Mastung, two people were killed and two were injured due to lightning.

According to the PDMA, the death toll due to the ongoing rains since April 28 has risen to eight and seven have been injured.

According to the Meteorological Department, during the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of more stormy rains in the coastal northern and coastal areas of the province.
